Things to see in Villavallelonga in the province of L'Aquila,
at 1,005 meters above sea level:
Bear Center of the National Park of Abruzzo, Lazio and Molise.
Located in Via Colle Marcandrea, near the Town Hall (which is about 300 meters), the Center offers the opportunity
to admire in the wildlife area of the bear and deer, two splendid specimens of Marsicano Bear: Yoga and Sandrino.

Benedictine Abbey Our Lady of Grace and Old Town.
It dates from around 1000 A.D. its foundation. In addition to a sixteenth century frescoes in the apse and fine workmanship,
are kept inside the mortal remains of the venerable Don Gatetano Tantalo, who was born in Villavallelonga February 3, 1905.
Visit to the National Park. Walk beyond the church of Our Lady of the Lanna (see the map). Leave the car, continue along
the access road to the Meadows of Angro, a beautiful plateau surrounded by dense beech woods, until you reach the Pass of Aceretta,
where is located the oldest European beech.
